The Revelation Song

This is my new favorite worship song. I heard it at church this last week, done by one of the girls from our choir. Powerful stuff. Now, I'm not a big fan of "performance worship", and I had a hard time finding a version of this that I was willing to post on my blog. This one will have to do, but personally, I'd ignore the video and just listen to the words. Make sure you scroll down and pause my playlist before pressing play.

  1. I love that song also!! I love it when Sarah H. sings at our church. She always seems to pick songs that I love.

Also, I don't think I have heard the term "performance worship" before, but I think I understand what you mean. I think I might be the opposite of you on that one though. I loved watching the people in the video worship God in that way. It seems genuine and whole hearted to me - more like what we will be doing in heaven. :) I wish our church was more like that. Funny, huh? To each his own, I guess. Thanks for posting it.

  2. Probably should have clarified a bit more. So many of the videos of this song that I found were "performance worship" and seemed to draw far more attraction to the performer than to the worship. This video didn't, hence my willingness to post it. Yes, I do wish our church was more open in its' worship, I just recognise that the temptation can be to get caught up in the emotion of the moment or the "show being put on" and I would rather be aware of the words being said/sung and the worship being expressed, making sure that the praise and attention is directed to the right Person.
